The Black Sheep

Angel is the founder of Black Sheep Training Group. A United States Navy Veteran and served from 1989 to 2007. A Master at Arms and “plank-owner” for Navy Mobile Security Force Anti-Terrorism Unit, he qualified as a Small Arms Instructor, Non-Lethal Weapons Instructor and Emergency Vehicle Operator Instructor. Served multiple tours During OEF, OIF and Desert Shield and Storm. Angel is the Recipient of the J Edgar Hoover Award and inducted to the Police Hall of Fame in Florida as the first military police officer that dedicated himself to training officers of Local, State and Federal Agencies. Civilian qualifications regarding firearms include NRA Instructor for Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Chief RSO. Also, a USKMA Patrol Rifle and Pistol Instructor and Reality Based Training Instructor and a technical advisor for several publications. A member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainer Association (ILEETA) as well as a International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors. Sig Sauer Red Dot Instructor.

 Greg is a Co-Founders of Black Sheep Training Group, serving the United States from 1988 to 2006, both in active duty and reserve status. Navy qualifications include Naval Air Crewman, Navy Rescue Swimmer, Air Warfare Sensor Operator, Navy SEAL, Naval Parachutist, Static-Line Jump Master, Naval Special Warfare Range Officer (Firearms, Laser, and Demolitions), Master at Arms, Small Arms Instructor, Non-Lethal Weapons Instructor, and Emergency Vehicle Operator Instructor, and  US Navy Training Instructor. Served as Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection trainer and evaluator. Supervised Commercial Vehicle Inspection operations, along with Security Division training operations. Experienced in HAZMAT and Mass Casualty Emergency Operations. As a civilian holds two New York State professional teaching licenses. Higher education includes two bachelor’s degrees: education and science, with graduate degree in leadership, with over five years teaching in NY public school systems. Served as Volunteer Fire Fighter, Executive Protection, and guest instructor teaching active shooter protocol to The City College of New York security department. Hold pistol and rifle instructor and Range Safety Officer qualifications through the NRA.  

Bobby is one of the Co-Founders of Black Sheep Training Group.  Retired after 26 years of active duty of the United States Navy and currently working as a Federal Police Instructor and graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training, he was a rated Master at Arms for 19 years and a Gunners Mate prior. Served from 1993 to 2019. A Incident Command Instructor, Force Protection Officer, Physical Security Officer, and Master Anti-Terrorism Specialist, he is qualified Small Arms Instructor for over 20 years, Anti-Terrorism Training Supervisor, Inter-service Non-Lethal Individual Weapons Instructor, as well Master Training Specialist for the Navy. He is also an NRA Range Safety Officer and Taser International Instructor. 

Jonah is a United States Marine Corps Veteran and served from 1996-2000 in the 3rd AABN, 1st MARDIV, out of Del Mar, Camp Pendleton, CA. His MOS was 2141 (Assault Amphibious Vehicle Repairman). He holds three NRA Certifications to include Range Safety Officer, Pistol Instructor and Rifle Instructor. He currently instructs for BSTG Certifications for courses of Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun; as well as a Range Armorer and Metallic Reloading Instructor. He works as a Manufacturing Process Engineer and is married with two daughters and a rescue dog. He regularly participates in IDPA, USPSA, 2 and 3-Gun Plate Shoots.
